The Olympic Torch in Nottingham

Yesterday on day 41 of its journey, the Olympic Torch arrived in Nottingham in glorious sunshine after a rain soaked Mansfield. Greeted by thousands who lined the streets it and its bearer was cheered by every supporter. It started at 17.55 and worked its way through West Bridgford, Trent Bridge and eventually winding its way round to the National Ice Arena where the legendary Torvill and Dean performed a special routine with torch in hand.

It then worked its way round to Huntingdon Street, close to the Waltons Sheds Nottingham Web Office and here are some of the pictures we got. Our main Torch Bearer was Reg O`reilly, well done to her!

Its final journey saw it return back into the hands of Torvill and Dean who took the frame in front of an 18,000 strong crowd at the Market Square to light the cauldron.
