Whilst our blog is intended to be a source of information regarding wooden sheds, we also want to take the opportunity to introduce you to some of the wooden sheds available on our main site at www.waltons.co.uk.
As you may be aware our wooden sheds are split broadly into four categories dependent on quality and price.
At the entry-level end of the Walton’s wooden shed ranges are the Ultra Value wooden sheds. Available in either tongue and groove or overlap cladding, and from compact 4′ x 4′ up to the more spacious 10′ x 6′ models, these sheds use thinner cladded walls and solid sheet wooden materials for floors and roofs. This helps keep the material costs down, making these sheds some of the cheapest sheds available on the market.
For a better quality wooden shed, yet still low prices, there is a Value Overlap Range of wooden sheds, which use 8mm overlap cladding, solid sheet materials roofs and floors, and have features such as braced doors, double framed corners, and floor joists. Both pent-roof and apex-roof wooden sheds are available in the Value Overlap Range, as well as a custom-designed Bike Shed and also a Mower Store.
Tongue and groove sheds are generally stronger than their overlap counterparts, and a wide range of tongue and groove wooden sheds are available in the Select Tongue and Groove range of sheds. In this range 12mm tongue and groove cladding is used for the walls, and solid sheet materials for the floors and roofs. Most models have styrene-glazed windows, whilst again both pent-roof and apex-roof styles are available. As with the Value overlap range, a Bike Shed is available, and also a Tall Store shed is available.
The highest quality sheds available from Walton’s are found in the Premier Groundsman range. The sheds are of higher quality than the other ranges as they are built using tongue and groove walls, floors and roofs, making them stronger and more durable than the lower costing alternatives. Included in our Premier Groundsman Range are our EasyFit Wooden Sheds, which are designed to be the easiest sheds to assemble, as they come with pre-hung doors and windows and a bitumen-coated board for a roof that removes the need for felting your shed’s roof.
